An aspiring young American priest, Michael Kovak (Colin O'Donoghue) got the assignment to visit the Vatican to learn about the science of exorcism or the expulsion of evil spirits. But even if a prospective pastor, Michael is not one who believes in the existence of demons, ghosts and other supernatural things. As such events in a trance, it was more due to her mental condition and patients need more medical help than a priest. But since met with Father Lucas (Anthony Hopkins), a senior pastor, his views began to slightly changed especially after he witnessed the ritual expulsion of demons that infiltrate the body of a young woman. There, Michael would not want to believe that the devil is there just as he believes in God. But it turns out the problem that they (Michael and father of Lucas), are facing more severe than what they expected before, and they also need to act quickly before it's too late. How they adventure in the face of the devil, you please see yourself.But in our opinion of The Rite probably no more than usual exorcism themed horror. Entertaining but not exceptional, and even tend to be boring for you that are less fond of horror grooved slow, unless you are a big fan and have missed the cold appearance of a Sir Anthony Hopkins, because maybe that's the only one who can say interesting here.
